what’s the big idea?

the big idea at sew human is to keep textiles out of the landfill. simple enough! sometimes this is through making a garment more loveable with applique work. sometimes it's deconstructing and re-imagining the fabrics into a new design. sometimes..... a love it as-is piece in the "saved from the bins" section, where i will offer items that i plucked out of the last chance bins, wash and offer for you.

and the other big idea at sew human is expression! there is so much joy to be found in living your life as a breathing work of art. let your wardrobe be a walking art gallery with you as the centerpiece. i invite you to find something fun and bold, and let it bring out that part of yourself yearning to be expressed and alive :) being in an outfit you love has the power to change the course of the whole day, and beyond
